Early years ; Jamaican music was the life and soul of his household. Growing up around local sound systems in his community has influenced Clarkz. A few of the artists that inspired Clarkz: Bounty Killer , Beenie Man, Capleton
Ninja Man, Papa San and many more.
In his early UK career Clarkz has worked with UK artists, (The Honeys, Wiley) and Radio DJs and producers such as Dennis Rowe, G Vibes and record label notably Jet Stars Recordings.
He has appeared on BEN TV and been interviewed on various radio and Internet stations . As a knowledgable , lively and entertaining guest Clarkz is still one of the most talked about young artists in the game..
In 2006 Clarkz signed a 3 single deal with King Jammy’s record company in Kingston Jamaica.
Later that year 2006 Clarkz released Summer Wear that charted in the Top 10 in Japan

2013 Clarkz signed a single deal with Cashflow Records from Kingston Jamaica 2014 Clarkz plays lead role in the movie Pay Back 1&2
