Long Clawson Dairy is a producer of Award-Winning Speciality Cheese including Blue Stilton®, Rutland Red and a range of blended products. These products are supplied UK-wide, as well as being exported to over 30 countries worldwide.
As a traditional company, Long Clawson Dairy is well known for its quality and innovation. In recent years it has been awarded several accolades including the highest award of supreme champion at 3 cheese shows.
Over 100-years ago in 1911, Thomas Hoe Stevenson founded the dairy as a farming cooperative, which remains unchanged today. The company has grown somewhat since then and is now supplied with 58 million litres of milk per year by over 40 farms, within the three neighbouring counties of Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
In 1996 Stilton® was awarded a PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) status. Meaning if a cheese is to bear the Stilton® name, it must be produced using milk from these three counties (amongst other stipulations).
Our Cheese can be purchased from all leading UK supermarkets, as well as selected independent stores and from our on-site shop (see website for further details including opening times).
