The CMS experiment is one of the big detector at the largest particle physics accelerator in the world, the Large Hadron Collider(LHC) at CERN. The CMS detector acts as a giant high-speed camera, taking “3D photographs” of the subatomic particles’ collisions, leading to a better understanding of the structure of matter and of the forces that rule the universe at the sub-atomic scale.
