La Comisión para los Derechos Humanos del estado Zulia (Codhez) es una organización de la sociedad civil dedicada a la promoción y defensa de los derechos humanos.
Desde 2015, la organización produce informes para la documentación de la situación general de derechos humanos en el Zulia, con énfasis en el ámbito de seguridad alimentaria, servicios públicos, derecho a la vida y derechos de las comunidades y pueblos indígenas a fin de realizar exigencias ante los sistemas nacionales e internacionales de protección a los derechos humanos. Además, presta asistencia judicial gratuita, sobre todo en casos de detenciones arbitrarias y ejecuciones extrajudiciales, asesorando a las víctimas y sus familiares.
A partir de 2017, Codhez ha promovido una red de activistas y organizaciones de derechos humanos en el Zulia (Redhez), con el objetivo de articular esfuerzos y compartir experiencias y saberes, y de esta forma, lograr los cambios sociales que el país exige a través de la acción colectiva.

Our purpose is to obtain reparations and justice for victims of human rights violations and their family members through documentation, advocacy, and communications work nationally and internationally.
We strive to consolidate the human rights movement in Zulia as an integral part of the decentralization of the human rights work in Venezuela
