Connect with Tech is a student-led organization for students. Our main goal is to give students of underrepresented backgrounds, ethnicities, and genders the opportunity to take a deep-dive into the world of technology and explore every one of its facets.
To achieve our goal, our members decided on a specific project(s) that they will pursue through the duration of the school year. There is no limit to what project can be done. Some of the few that many students focus on are creating a startup, participating in a tech innovation competition, or creating a technical product.
Throughout the creation process, we meet once a week to discuss and analyze the developments of their technological projects. To ensure well-roundness we also offer :
· Hour-long workshops (on coding, professional skills, soft skills, etc.) 1-2 times a month
· Connections to at least 2 professional mentors throughout the duration of there projects
· Priority to Connect with Tech hosted events
· Opportunities to attend exclusive weekend conferences and hackathons
Our home chapter (Brooklyn Technical High School), organizes Connect with Tech events, professional mentorships, and any additional professional relations.
