Cross-TIC biedt kunstenaars en cultuurmakers die in Twente (willen) wonen en werken de gelegenheid deel te nemen aan verschillende crossmediale ontwikkelingstrajecten, zoals onderzoeken, producties, intensieve ontwikkeltrajecten en collectieve activiteiten waarin Technologie, Innovatie en Creativiteit centraal staan.
De projecten vinden plaats op verschillende locaties in heel Twente: bij de podia, in filmhuizen, bibliotheken, kulturhuzen, op festivals, in musea en in de openbare ruimte. Het project heeft als doel om de ‘makers van de toekomst’ te ondersteunen en te begeleiden en Twente aantrekkelijker te maken voor zowel nieuwe makers als hun publiek.
Cross-TIC wordt van 2021 tot en met 2024 uitgevoerd door negen Twentse kernpartners (Bibliotheek Almelo & Theater Hof 88, Kunsten op Straat, Oyfo, PLANETART, Schouwburg Hengelo, Theater Sonnevanck, Stichting Oldenzaalse Musea, Tetem en Concordia (penvoerder)) én de culturele partners en opleidingen in Twente. Het project wordt ondersteund door de Provincie Overijssel en de 14 gemeentes die samen de Cultuurregio Twente vormen.
