The Hydrotechnical Division develops Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE)’s leadership role in advancing multidisciplinary research and professional practice in the field of water resources and hydrotechnical engineering from both practice and academia.
The Hydrotechnical Division is mandated to:
• advance multidisciplinary research in the field of water resources and hydrotechnical engineering.
• champion and coordinate the development of national hydrotechnical infrastructure.
• work collaboratively with various levels of government, industry, and academia in the advancement of water resources and hydrotechnical engineering.
• promote civil engineers as technical leaders in water resources and hydrotechnical engineering.
• develop knowledge dissemination venues for water resources and and hydrotechnical engineers and research through CSCE conference and Canadian Journal of Civil Engineering.
• develop a repository of national experts in water resources and hydrotechnical engineering.
