Dan Sharp is a Freelance Producer/Director/Editor who came to Australia on holiday and never went back. Dan has 15 years experience in the broadcast & corporate worlds both in Europe and Australia and is particularly good at making a modest budget look like a massive budget on screen. After studying Design at Goldsmiths in London Dan began his career making award-winning corporate & broadcast films at legendary indie Uden Associates. In 1998 Dan decided to go freelance and quickly built up an impressive roster of clients including Ford Motor Company, Jaguar, British Airways, Ericsson and Royal Mail. Whilst adding to his impeccable shoe and coat collection he also found time to direct several shorts and music videos. In 2005 Dan came to Australia for a well-earned 4 week holiday and somehow ended up staying. After directing 2 series of Big Brother Dan decided he’d had enough of watching people go to the toilet and joined XYZ Networks as Senior Promo & Client Integration Producer. During this time Dan produced and directed several award winning promos and campaigns for the likes of Channel [V], Max, Arena, The Weather Channel & The Lifestyle Channel as well as slick integrated campaigns for Ssangyong, Corona, Foot Locker, Subway & Vodaphone. Dan hopes to one day live in a hollowed out volcano in Japan and take over the world.
