Het team van Dappr bestaat Floris van Moorselaar en Maurits Maas, twee vrienden die elkaar al sinds jaar en dag kennen. Tijdens hun studietijd ontdekten ze een gedeelde passie: bouwen. Die passie kwam tot volledige wasdom toen de twee net na hun studententijd begonnen met het van A tot Z renoveren van woningen. Samen transformeerden ze menig bouwval stapsgewijs tot warm woonhuis.
De succesvolle samenwerking en de gedeelde interesse in innovatieve bouwkunde deed hen vorig jaar spontaan besluiten om zich aan te melden voor het RTL4-programma Tiny House Battle, waarvan het eerste seizoen eind 2021 te zien is op televisie.
Tijdens het programma kregen Floris en Maurits de kans om een zelf ontworpen tiny house te realiseren. Dat ging goed, gaf plezier en smaakte naar meer. De twee kwamen tot de realisatie dat hun toekomst in deze niche lag. Zo werd Dappr geboren.
