Vad är OVK?

Det är byggnadens ägare, till exempel bostadsrättsföreningen, som ska se till att OVK utförs. Ägaren ska välja en sakkunnig funktionskontrollant, som är certifierad av ett ackrediterat certifieringsorgan.
Kravet på OVK finns sedan 1991. Det bör finnas OVK-protokoll för byggnaden, hos kommunens byggnadsnämnd, från regelbundna kontroller.

OVK ska göras innan ett ventilationssystem tas i bruk för första gången (första besiktning). För de flesta byggnader ska OVK sedan göras regelbundet, var 3 eller 6 år (återkommande besiktning).
