He is a respected leader and manager with experience in commercial, public sector, military and volunteer organizations. He was a Founder Member of the Institute of Asset Management in 1994 and was appointed the first full-time CEO in 2009. He is a Chartered Engineer with a background in safety and rail engineering. He led the UK contribution to the ISO55000 suite of asset management standards. He believes strongly that good people, culture and leadership are critical capabilities that can be harnessed and aligned by a structured approach.
