Wir glauben an eine moderne und integrative Gesellschaft. Unser Projekt ist auf die speziellen Anforderungen, Bedürfnisse und Fähigkeiten von älteren (auch betreuungs-/pflegebedürftigen) Menschen (60+), Menschen mit Behinderungen und Menschen aus schwierigem sozialem, bzw. finanziell angespanntem Umfeld ausgerichtet. Mit VR/AR und MR können wir die Lebensqualität der Menschen optimieren, Teilhabe ermöglichen und virtuelle Barrierefreiheit schaffen.
Das Projekt wurde anfänglich (2017) durch das AndersGründer Programm des Social Impact Lab Frankfurt begleitet. Das Programm fand seinen Abschluss im Oktober 2018 mit DayCare Technology als Finalist beim Special Impact Award 2018 - der von der Social Impact Lab gGmbH und der KfW-Stiftung vergeben wird.
Im Verlauf der letzten zwei Jahre wurde das Projekt / technische Lösungen in Bezug auf VR / XR Soft- und Hardware, bzw. seine Initiatoren (Michael Uhlig und Thomas Pilz) mehrfach ausgezeichnet. Unter anderem erhielten Soft- und Hardware Lösungen 3 Best of beim Innovationspreis-IT 2018 in den Kategorien "On Demand", "E-Learning" und "Hardware". Beim Industriepreis 2018 war es ein Best of in der Kategorie "Service & Dienstleistungen".
Gess Education Award 2018 Finalist -SEN Resource / Equipment Supplier of the Year.
Thomas Pilz wurde von der tbd'community als einer der Initiatoren als Social Innovator to Watch 2017 ausgezeichnet.
In der Zeit von März 2018 bis November 2018 wurde das Projekt von digital.engagiert - einer Förderinitiative von Amazon und Stifterverband - unterstützt.
Aktuell nimmt das Projekt am Global Goals Lab - einer Initiative der Social Impact Lab gGmbH und Deutscher Bank AG - teil.
Inhaltliche und thematische Ansätze werden in Kooperation mit dem DRK Kreisverband Herford-Stadt e.V. entwickelt. In 2018 lag der Schwerpunkt auf "Mitmach-Aktionen" wie Meine Welt in 360°. Für 2019/2020 stehen Konzepte für den Einsatz von VR in der Therapie / Reha-Szenarien und in der Seniorenbetreuung im Vordergrund.
