Wat is De Focus?
De Focus is een online kennisplatform dat de mogelijkheid biedt aan studenten en alumni om hun onderzoek of scriptie te publiceren voor een groot publiek. Het wetenschappelijk onderzoek wordt hierbij vertaald naar een toegankelijk artikel. De Focus begeeft zich hierbij in het grijze gebied tussen pure wetenschap en pure journalistiek.
Waarom De Focus?
Wij van De Focus vinden het zonde dat zoveel goed onderzoek en opgedane kennis verdwijnt in de archieven van de Universiteit. Deze grote bron van informatie willen we niet verloren laten gaan en daarom bieden wij een platform aan waar elke discipline de ruimte krijgt om gehoord te worden. Op deze manier wordt wetenschappelijke kennis beschikbaar voor de gehele maatschappij en gaan we het idee van de ivoren toren van de wetenschap tegen.
Wie is De Focus?
De Focus bestaat uit tien enthousiaste studenten en alumni uit verschillende studierichtingen die in samenwerking met de Universiteit Utrecht de noodzaak voelen om wetenschappelijke kennis bereikbaar te maken voor een groter publiek.
