De Kift is een meerkoppige poëtische fanfare-punkband. Tomeloze energie, theater, intieme momenten, weemoed en euforie wisselen elkaar moeiteloos af tijdens de gecontroleerde chaos die De Kift op het podium creëert. De Kift werkte samen met o.a. Franz Ferdinand, Calexico, theatergroep Tryater, Tania Kross, acteur Sanne den Hartogh, regisseur Erik Whien en de Rats on Rafts.
De Kift schreef o.a. muziek voor de documentaireserie De Strijd (VARA 2015) en speelde de intro van De Wilde Keuken (NTR 2015)
