Stichting De Sociale Basis werkt aan een samenleving waarin iedereen er bij hoort, waarin iedereen er toe doet en waarin iedereen iets op zijn of haar manier aan bijdraagt. Omdat wij ervan overtuigd zijn dat inwoners het beste uit zichzelf kunnen halen als zij niet belemmerd worden door zorgen of problemen over financiën of over het ontbreken van (gezondheids-)zorg, zetten wij ons specialisme in om ieder een stabiele bestaanszekerheid te bieden.
Armoede, samenleven, opvoeding, werk en dagbesteding, ontwikkeling, (mantel)zorg en eenzaamheid zijn thema’s waar onze medewerkers zich op richten.
Dit doen zij in de sociale (wijk)teams en/ of door het leveren van een bijdrage aan welzijnsdiensten en informele zorg in vele buurten en steden in de regio. De Sociale Basis stemt hierbij haar dienstverlening af op lokale vraagstukken en zoekt altijd de verbinding met lokale organisaties.
Alleen vanuit een sterke sociale basis kunnen inwoners zich op hun eigen manier en naar eigen mogelijkheid inzetten voor elkaar, de buurt en voor de stad.
