Dev Publishers & Distributors is an independent Indian Publishing firm founded in 2009 by Pankaj D. Jain.
At Dev, our focus is on publishing books of highest quality content, elegantly designed with exceptional production standards. We plan to publish academic, reference and scholarly books in a wide range of subjects including Social Sciences, illustrated books for children and of course coffee table books.
Dev Publishers & Distributors draws upon the long experience and expertise of Pankaj D. Jain who is a fifth generation publisher and has inherited the basics and ethics of book business from his father, Late Devendra Jain, who has been the pioneer of Indology publishing in India.
The authors who comprise Dev’s list are: Princess Rajyashree Kumari of Bikaner, Radhavallabh Tripathi, Dipti S. Tripathi, G. D. Gulati, K. Bharata Iyer, G. A. Qamar, Tripta Desai, Pradip Bhattacharya, John Powers, Lars Fogelin, Parimal G. Patil, Melvyn C. Goldstein, Michael Barnett, Owen Flanagan, O. R. Krishnasawmi and Valerie Ritter to name a few.
Pankaj D. Jain has decades of experience in working with renowned authors. In addition to the authors whom he has published at Dev, he has also worked with established and well-known authors like Rama Nath Sharma, Dilip K. Chakrabarti, Nayanjot Lahiri, Upinder Singh, Vidya Dehejia, T. S. Rukmani, Irfan Habib, S. M. Srinivasa Chari, Gerard Foekama, D. P. Chattopadhyaya and J. P. Goenka.
Dev co-publishes scholarly titles with prestigious governmental and non-governmental institutions such as National Mission for Manuscripts, Ministry of Tourism and Culture and Maitri Charitable Foundation.
In addition to this, Dev also publishes inexpensive/affordable South Asian editions of many reputed University Presses such as Harvard University Press, Columbia University Press, Cornell University Press, The MIT Press, University of California Press, State University of New York Press and many more.
