In Nederland is er iets geks aan de hand: Het achtuurjournaal vertelt ons dat er een groot probleem schuilt in eenzaamheid onder ouderen, want meer dan 500.000 55-plussers zijn ernstig eenzaam. Tegelijkertijd geeft eenderde van de Nederlanders aan iets te willen doen tegen eenzaamheid. Dan is het simpel toch? Wij moeten iets doen.
En precies dat gaan we aanpakken met behulp van dichterBLIJ. Wij willen de strijd met de eenzaamheid in Nederland aangaan door mensen dichterbij elkaar te brengen. Concreet betekent dit dat wij een platform hebben opgericht waarbij wij vrijwilligers in contact brengen met een oudere die dit leuk zou vinden. Dit doen wij op twee manieren: door de eerste stap te zetten voor een langdurige connectie of door eenmalig te zorgen voor tientallen kaartjes vanuit heel het land op een speciale dag. Voor ’n tijdje en voor ’n keertje.
Omdat iedereen blij wordt van een kaartje in de brievenbus, een leuke email of attent WhatsAppje. Iedereen verdient dat, maar al helemaal eenzame ouderen in ons land. Zo komen we door dichterBLIJ een beetje dichterbij elkaar.
