Diversify CCAM by integrating the European cultural and regional variations in the design and implementation of citizen-friendly solutions to foster mobility equity.
Cooperative, connected, and automated mobility (CCAM) solutions can greatly benefit the EU mobility systems. However, their adoption has been slow due to low societal demand, as they struggle to integrate smoothly into current systems and clearly convey their benefits.
The EU-funded Diversify-CCAM project will address this challenge by developing a diversification tool, integrating cultural, geographical, and policy considerations into the design and development process of CCAM solutions. To achieve this goal, the project will establish 12 pilot sites in six EU countries, examining differences in CCAM implementation between rural and urban environments, and identifying barriers to the acceptance and efficiency of CCAM.
