Double Tree Industries was founded out of heartbreak, stubbornness, and a desire to take control of my own narrative. In 2024 a person I had a crush on told me she wouldn’t date someone who was still married and unemployed. So I finalized a divorce that had dragged on for over a year in less than 30 days, and registered an LLC to give myself a job.
While the company never scaled in the traditional sense (nor did it impress the person I wanted it to), it became a hands-on way to explore entrepreneurship and learn by doing. I built a brand identity from scratch, experimented with digital marketing and content creation (shoutout to Canva and ChatGPT), and navigated the administrative side of running a business from tax setup and compliance to pitching projects and tracking expenses. I also pushed myself to network more intentionally, translating creative energy into actual connections and opportunities.
