Rangi Hicks is Project / Operations Manager for the West Coast of the South Island, having completed 6 years as Project Manager on the DHML Stockton Mine opencast mining contract from 2003 to 2009.
Rangi joined the company in 1982 and worked on irrigation, roading and mining projects for 12 years, then in 1994 he managed mining projects in the Huntly coalfields prior to appointment as Earthworks then Contract Manager of the $7M State Highway 1 project Maungaiti Hill Realignment near Tokoroa.

Rangi holds A-Grade Quarry & Coal Mine Managers Certificates and National Certificates in Civil Construction Works Supervision & Extractive Industries Operations. He completed mine project management training with NZ Caterpillar dealership Gough Gough & Hamer in 2006, and leadership and management training with Leadership Management Australasia in 2007.
