Midden in het levendige hart van Utrecht vind je Het Holos Huis. Een holistisch centrum volledig in het teken van lichaamswerk & bewustzijn, waar de holistische opleiding tot Doula gevestigd is. Een doula is een stabiele en wijze vrouw, die de aanstaande moeder en haar partner op holistische wijze ondersteunt tijdens de zwangerschap en de geboorte van hun kind.
De Doula opleiding is de eerste opleiding tot doula in Nederland en bestaat al meer dan vijftien jaar. Inmiddels zijn we een begrip in Nederland.
Kenmerkend voor onze doula opleiding zijn de drie pijlers: hart, hoofd en handen. Die pijlers staan voor empathie, belichaamde professionaliteit en intuïtief handelen. In de opleiding spelen praktijkoefeningen een belangrijke rol. De student wordt toegerust om praktische ondersteuning te bieden, bijvoorbeeld in de vorm van massage en ademhalingsoefeningen. Ze leert de moeder om meer in contact te komen met haar lichaam, zodat zij met vertrouwen in haar eigen lijf de bevalling ingaat.
