Design Solutions International was co-founded by Michael Perrillo and Bruce Monaghan in 2001. Both brought decades of experience in the lighting industry with them, specializing in portable, hardwire and Ceiling Fans.
2002-2008
DSI quickly grew to become one of the fastest growing, and largest lighting companies in North America. Selling hardwire and portable lighting to all the major retailers in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
2009-2014
DSI’s continued growth and expansion of product lines established the company as a premier lighting company in North America. DSI has also been at the forefront of LED technology and incorporating smart technology into today’s lighting products for smart homes. There is no doubt that Design Solution International’s future is very BRIGHT.
2015 – Present
DSI became part of NBG Home – The Home Décor Company in 2015. That same year both Mr. Perrillo and Mr. Monaghan retired from DSI. DSI continues to expand, and now has product in showrooms in High Point, N.C., Southaven, MS, and 2 European locations. DSI Lighting continues to be one of the largest and most significant providers of multiple lighting categories to the U.S., Canadian and International markets.
