Du-Ich-Wir ist ein gemeinnütziger Verein und anerkannter Träger der Kinder- & Jugendhilfe, der es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht hat, Schülerinnen und Schülern im Kreis Mettmann, Solingen, Köln und Düsseldorf bestmögliche, kostenlose Bildung zu ermöglichen.
Das Kernstück unserer Arbeit ist die Organisation von kostenlosem Förderunterricht für Kinder und Jugendliche. Mittlerweile haben wir in Ekrath, Mettmann, Hilden und Haan über 130 SchülerInnen, welche von über 100 ehrenamtlichen MentorInnen betreut werden.
Aufgrund der Pandemie haben sich an vielen Schulen im Kreis Mettmann fachliche und soziale Schwierigkeiten bei Schülerinnen und Schülern aufgetan. Wir unterstützen die Schulen daher mit Hilfe verschiedener Projekte während der Schulzeit, im Nachmittagsbereich oder auch in den Ferien. Dabei arbeiten wir mit über 30 Schulen aus sieben Städten zusammen. Unterstützung haben wir von über 100 pädagogischen Honorarkräften.
Unser dritter Bereich ist die Arbeitsmarktintegration. Wir vermitteln nuezugewanderte Menschen in den Job, coachen sie, stärken ihre Fähigkeiten und machen sie so fit für den deutschen Arbeitsmarkt.
