Waarom Dutch Dumplin?
Omdat het leuk is natuurlijk!
In 2019 bezocht ik als mede eigenaar van Jasno een nieuwe producent van shutters en kreeg als “toetje” overheerlijke dumplings, handgemaakt door het eigen koks duo van de fabriek. Omdat koken sowieso al een passie was van mij nam ik al snel de kans waar een kijkje in die keuken te nemen. Wat een feest en in het centrum van de keuken was een grote wokbrander, zeg maar gerust een straalmotor. Afijn, voordat ik het wist stond ik samen met de echte koks dumplings te maken.
Thuis gekomen stonden Veronique en ik al in de chinese toko in Eindhoven en vanaf toen liep het uit de hand…
Tweede hands tafeltop dumpling automaatje gekocht op marktplaats, velletjes maker en deegmachine uit China laten komen en toen in kleine series de meest uiteenlopende smaken uitgeprobeerd.
Uitgangspunt was toen, alles wat je kunt eten kan in een dumpling.
Al snel kwam bij al die uitprobeersels de naam dutch dumplin naar voren. Wat is er leuker dan in de dumpling ook smaken te verstoppen die typisch Nederlands zijn? En natuurlijk met zoveel mogelijk ingrediënten van Nederlandse bodem, waar voedselkwaliteit en veiligheid hoog staat aangeschreven.
Omdat Nederland ook bekend staat om zijn handelsgeest in de wereld, maar ook om de vele culturen die Nederland inmiddels rijk is, kunnen smaken zoals Rendang of bijvoorbeeld Swiss cheese niet ontbreken. En waarom geen lekker Hollands appeltje erin verwerken, als snackje bij de koffie of als aanvulling van een dessert?
Dutch Dumplin is zo verworden tot het nieuwe appeltaartje en borrelhapje/ voorgerechtje van Nederland. Heerlijk crunchie en altijd vers te serveren door de bereidingswijze met saus en eventueel topping.
Dutch Dumplin heeft in Nederland een geautomatiseerde productie van dumplings, waar ook in relatief kleine series (5000 stuks) geproduceerd kan worden, waardoor snel wordt ingespeeld op nieuwe smaken.
