Fundación Derecho y Defensa Animal es la primera organización chilena dedicada exclusivamente a promover los derechos de los animales no humanos desde el derecho. Abordamos su protección desde una perspectiva jurídica, académica y legislativa, impulsando cambios estructurales en las leyes y políticas públicas.

Fundación Derecho y Defensa Animal is the first Chilean organization exclusively dedicated to promoting the rights of non-human animals through law. We focus on legal, academic, and legislative approaches to drive structural change in policies and legislation.
Our work is centered around three key areas:
1. Academic: promoting the study of Animal Law through research, publications, and specialized training.
2. Legal: providing legal support in cases of animal abuse and advocating for the effective enforcement of existing laws.
3. Legislative: actively participating in the creation and reform of laws to ensure recognition and protection of animals.
With an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach—and strong female leadership—we aim to transform the way law and society relate to animals in Chile and Latin America.
