Sad but true.
They can throw up a web page, where they bang on about “the awesome power of words”. Then get some cheesy cards printed and hop off to their local brekky network. Where they’ll tell unsuspecting business owners:
“My killer copy can get customers frothing at the mouth, desperate to give you money!”
There is soooo much BS in the copy world, it’s terrifying.
So let’s be straight here. I’ve been a jobbing writer for three decades, starting out when Reagan was still in White House. I’ve been a scriptwriter, radio pundit, children’s author, terrible stand-up comedian…
All while juggling day jobs. Journalist. Salesman. Corporate Marketeer.
And since 2005, I’ve been locked in this little room near Cardiff, writing copy all day long - working with 250 clients in every sector there is.
