Üniversitemizde geliştirilen bilgi ve teknolojinin uygulamaya dönüştürülerek ticarileştirilmesi, Üniversitemizle sanayi kuruluşları arasında işbirlikleri oluşturulması ve bölge sanayinin ihtiyaç duyduğu bilgi ve teknolojinin üniversitede geliştirilmesine yardımcı olunması amacına yönelik hizmetlerin etkin bir şekilde yürütülebilmesi amacıyla TÜBİTAK Başkanı ve Ege Üniversitesi Rektörü tarafından 09 Nisan 2013 tarihinde imzalanan TÜBİTAK Teknoloji Transfer Ofisi Sözleşmesi ile E.Ü. EBİLTEM-TTO görevlendirilerek yetkilendirilmiştir.
