Eco-Trip Ltd was created to provide a unique and eco-friendly approach to discover Mauritius and Rodrigues. Our objective is to sell experiences which will bring visitors to interact with the island, its people and their culture, while minimizing their holidays’ impact on the environment. We work with suppliers that implement sustainable measures in their business models. We started by doing a selection of some eco-friendly accommodation partners – Hotels, Guests Houses, Eco-Lodges and Apartments, that apply sustainable measures in their business model. Mauritius also offers a wide palette of activities, and being conscious of the importance to preserve the environment we live in, we have selected eco-friendly operators who will take our clients to discover the island in the most sustainable way. In addition, with the support of local NGOs, we are introducing a Carbon Offset Program through the re-introduction of indigenous and endemic plants in dedicated places for reforestation. In the program, each of our clients will be invited to put a new plant in the soil, thus partly offsetting the impact of his holidays, and the result will be an even greener Mauritius over the years. Description of our business Our Business Model is totally turned towards the use of the internet to showcase, promote and sell our destinations to travellers who are aware and eco-conscious. Mauritius and Rodrigues offer a wide range of land and sea activities for everyone. And to help travellers choose their daily activities, we shortlisted those which will take them on an adventurous discovery of our islands through its diverse aspects – from diving or kayaking in our crystal clear lagoons, to hiking and biking in our forests and sugarcane fields. Rivers, Gorges and Waterfalls offer exclusive spots for Canyoning, Abseiling, Ziplines and other breath-taking sports. There is so much to do in a week, and so many ways of doing them!!! Contact us!
