In its capacity as the European cultural center, ECC seeks to Promote professional education development, promotion and supporting of human rights, provide protection and support to individuals, and enable them to acquire diverse knowledge in order to exercise their legitimate rights, identify and reclaim it by spreading the culture of their rights by all available means
Brief History
The European Cultural Center was established in April 2012 in Egypt but its work scope has been extended to the Middle East and North Africa, MENA region, then in France in order to support and promote human rights principles through regional initiatives within the international community. The principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the international conventions emanating from it have become a legal reference in the establishment of the Foundation.
ECTHRS specializes in achieving its objectives and achieving the desired results for the protection and development of the human rights on a number of specializations, as follows
Accepting complaints related to human rights issues, refer it to the related authorities for effective follow-up, or inform relevant government agencies or civil society organizations
Monitoring cases of human rights violations, and do field visits to monitor human rights conditions in places of detention, labor gatherings, health and educational homes, or any other public place suspected of being the site of human rights violations
Studying the human rights legislation and regulations in the countries of the region and recommend any amendments needed based on the outcomes of the center's work, reports and researches.
