◎ 成立宗旨
電子商務時報（Electronic Commerce Times, 簡稱EC Times），創立於1999年7月，由南台灣唯一連續入選邁向頂尖大學計畫、高教深耕計劃，在資訊科技與電子商務研究具有豐碩成果的國立中山大學管理學院智慧電子商務研究中心所主辦，作為國內專門報導電子商務新聞，且歷史最為悠久的非營利網路媒體，歷來以「推動國內電子商務發展」為重要目標。
透過結合國立中山大學資訊管理學系（所）、行銷傳播管理研究所以及中山管理教育基金會等學術資源，本媒體堅持從學術與理論的角度，為讀者提供電商相關的重要動態及綜合評論，乃至深入思考與公司營運之方向。本報重要里程碑如下：
• 1999年07月 ─ 《電子商務時報》網路媒體正式開站
• 2003年04月 ─ 與「中時集團全球華文行銷知識庫」合作
• 2009年01月 ─ 與「聯合新聞網 udn.com數位資訊」合作
• 2013年01月 ─ 《電子商務時報》Facebook粉絲頁成立
