EdFina is an education sector focused finance company set up under the aegis of US-based impact investor Gray Matters Capital to positively impact the lives of 100 million students by improving access to finance and education resources for the entire education ecosystem.
Incorporated as Global EdFin PTE Company Ltd. in Singapore, we operate as a holding company with our entities - EdFin Microfinance Bank operating in Lagos (Nigeria), Taleem Finance Company Ltd. in Lahore (Pakistan) and Indian School Finance Company in Delhi (India). Over the next 3 years, we will be looking to expand our presence across South and SE Asia.
We at EdFina believe that education finance has the potential of changing the way education is imparted and experienced. Schools when funded better, can offer students more amenities creating an environment congenial to learning. Teachers can invest in their professional development and engage with students more meaningfully. Parents when given access to it can afford to fund the education of their children and throw open a world of possibilities for them.
By democratizing access to finance and technological tools and resources, EdFina aspires to bring low cost schools catering to students from under-resourced communities on par with those with better resources. This is done with an aim to improve the quality of learning outcomes, creating social equity and gender equality.
All in all, we go beyond being just loan providers to being long standing partners of the school ecosystem - following a consultative and collaborative approach to earn with the ecosystem and not off it.
