Hi, I am Lyndsay Critchlow, SEND Advocate. I am a neurodivergent individual with a neurodivergent Husband and 3 wonderful neurodivergent boys.
My journey in the SEND world has been turbulent, with fighting and referrals falsely made to social care, all when trying to ensure that my children had a suitable education and all their needs were supported.
My passion is to support as many children as possible in education suitable for them, whether mainstream, specialist, independent or even Education Other Than A School (EOTAS). I believe there is education for all out there and that, given the right environment and people, everyone thrives and goes on to be exactly who they are.
Every child and young person is unique. Therefore, every case will be unique, and what they need to support them and how they can access education is also unique.
If we embrace them and support them, respect them, and believe in them, then in
turn, they will succeed and believe in themselves.
I firmly believe there is education out there for everyone regardless of how they need to access it, what their needs are or what environment they need.
