Η Εθνική Φοιτητική Ένωση Κυπρίων (ΕΦΕΚ) Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου αποτελεί το πρωτοβάθμιο όργανο εκπροσώπησης των συμφερόντων ολόκληρου του Κυπριακού φοιτητόκοσμου στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο. Η ΕΦΕΚ ΗΒ ιδρύθηκε το 1997 στο Λονδίνο μετά από συγχώνευση της Εθνικής Φοιτητικής Ένωσης Κυπρίων Αγγλίας (ΕΦΕΚΑ) και του Συλλόγου Κυπρίων Φοιτητών Αγγλίας (ΣΥΚΦΑ). Ιδρυτικά μέλη της ΕΦΕΚ ΗΒ είναι η Φοιτητική οργάνωση “Πρωτοπορία”, η Δημοκρατική Παράταξη Κυπρίων Φοιτητών Λονδίνου “Αναγέννηση” και η Δημοκρατική Κίνηση Φοιτητών Αγγλίας “ΔΗΚΦΑ”. Βασικές αρχές της ΕΦΕΚ ΗΒ είναι η προάσπιση των συμφερόντων των Κυπρίων φοιτητών του ΗΒ και η προβολή του Κυπριακού Προβλήματος στο ΗΒ.
Από την μέρα ιδρύσεως της και μέσω της ανιδιοτελούς εργασίας των μελών της, η ΕΦΕΚ ΗΒ αποσκοπεί στο να εξασφαλίσει μία ποιοτική φοιτητική ζωή για τους Κυπρίους φοιτητές του ΗΒ, να προωθήσει τα ήθη και τις παραδόσεις της Κύπρου στο ΗΒ, αλλά και να προάγει των αθλητισμό στους φοιτητές μέσω της διοργάνωσης πρωταθλημάτων ποδοσφαίρου και ημερίδων αθλητισμού στο ΗΒ. Μεγάλη, επίσης, προσπάθεια γίνεται χρόνο με το χρόνο και στην προώθηση του εθνικού μας ζητήματος, ασκώντας την μέγιστη πιθανή πίεση στους εμπλεκόμενους από το ΗΒ.
Για τους παράπανω σκοπούς, το Συμβούλιο της ΕΦΕΚ ΗΒ, που εκλέγεται κάθε χρόνο μετά από εκλογική διαδικασία, συνεδριάζει μία φορά κάθε μήνα, όπου τα 9 μέλη μπορούν να καταθέσουν ιδέες και απόψεις όσον αφορά την δράση του Συλλόγου αλλά και να διαμορφώσουν μία γραμμή για το μέλλον.
