Who We Are Hand in Hand was established in 2012 in the Turkish capital Ankara as an international non - governmental organization out of the belief in the importance of improvement of quality of life for the poor and afflicted in war torn areas and crisis regions. Hand in Hand achieves these goals by a series of projects divided between relief and development. Our mission is to improve the value of life through diverse relief and development programs via direct intervention in crisis - stricken communities that raise the self - sufficient capabilities of these communities. Hand in Hand seeks and provides individuals everywhere with no differentiation or discrimination based on language , gender , race or religion . Through seven years , our work scope has broadened internationally to reach a number of crisis - stricken regions around the world . Our work philosophy is based on the balance between development and relief , at a time when we are witnessing acceleration in the rate of disasters and crisis affecting millions of individuals and families during the recent years . Bearing these burdens , Hand in Hand has worked to provide humanitarian aid for those in need or in oppressed zones , seeking to provide the basic services of nutrition , medicine , shelter , and education . In addition , we also work on developing strategies for social growth in these grief - stricken communities to achieve sufficiency . We endeavor to strengthen the value of solidarity and brotherhood around the Islamic world through our social and cultural projects. Vision..
