Buildings consume 40% of the energy used in the developed world and are responsible for 20% of anthropogenic greenhouse gases emissions. An increasing number of buildings in crowded and dense cities are high-rise buildings: in NYC there are over 7000, in Singapore and Hong-Kong each - over 9000 buildings higher than 150 m. In case of electricity outage, it is impossible to stay in buildings for long (no elevators, water, heating\cooling). ElectriWall develops its unique efficient inexpensive Solar Thin Films for clean energy generation on high-rise building walls - not windows but usual walls. Our films have the following advantages: •         Efficiency of 28% (vs. usual ~17%) •         Low manufacturing costs due use of low-grade or recycled silicon ·         Absorption of >95% from the solar spectrum (vs. usual 65%) •         No need for a reflector to concentrate the sunlight – less costs •         Increase in the active area, more useful working hours, no need for direct light •         Can be black, green, and blue-like (suitable for architecture designs) We will use our films for making (high-rise) buildings Zero Energy Buildings, as required by the International regulations. Building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) is the dual use of a solar module as an architectural element and an electrical generator: power generating systems, seamlessly integrated into the building envelope. Our BIPV product makes cities energy resilient; reduce use of fossil fuels, greenhouse gases emission and air pollution. In addition it eliminates electricity loss during its transmission to local use and increase total energy efficiency.
