With full backing from the Theewaterskloof Municipality (TWKM) and the Development Bank of South Africa (DBSA). The TWKM has detailed their vision for the town in a document, "Vision: 2030". It outlines an inspiring picture of Economic, Community, Tourism, Innovation and Environmental initiatives. The Development Bank of South Africa (DBSA) has Grabouw earmarked for development funding as one of six towns in their Sustainable Development programme as was identified by Trevor Manual and mandated by Treasury who appointed the DBSA as the implementing agent.
