De woonvoorzieningen van Embrace the Future richten zich op jongeren in de leeftijd van 12 tot en met 18 jaar. Als er een verlengde jeugdwet afgegeven wordt krijgen jongeren de gelegenheid om te blijven wonen tot het einde van de verlengde jeugdwet. Onze uitgangspunten zijn; terug naar het eigen netwerk of zelfstandig (met ambulante begeleiding) wonen. Wij bieden een setting aan waar er 24/7 zorg aanwezig is. Wij zijn er voor jongeren die wegens uiteenlopende redenen niet meer thuis kunnen wonen, maar ook voor jongeren die vanuit de geslotenheid een stap willen en kunnen maken naar een open woonplek. Wij willen de stap voor jongeren om zelfstandig te gaan wonen kleiner maken. Wat wij uit ervaring hebben gemerkt is dat jongeren die vanuit een instelling zelfstandig gaan wonen nog niet alle vaardigheden hebben meegekregen. Er wordt op zo'n moment teveel van de jongere gevraagd. Dit zorgt ervoor dat een achterstand in de maatschappij vele malen groter is. Wat we zien in de praktijk is dat wanneer een jongere 18 jaar is er eigenlijk geen vangnet meer voor hen is. Wij proberen de jongere bij Embrace the Future de juiste handvaten mee te geven. We proberen daar (wanneer mogelijk) het eigen netwerk zoveel mogelijk in te betrekken. Er ontstaat hierdoor meer draagkracht bij de jongere.
