We try to eradicate open defecation problem in Indonesia. Indonesia has 51 million people who have still done open defecation. it impacted to community health, especially children. Diarrhea and stunting are the most common thing happened in Indonesia. diarrhea is number one killer of children under 5 age. Stunting also, effects to 37% Indonesia children. To be specific, we focus on one area first, which is Banten. Banten is the nearest province from the capital city of Indonesia, Jakarta, but there are 2.329.295 people who don't have access to basic sanitation which is water and latrine. Based on the problem above, we will do community led total sanitation (CLTS)approach to solve this problem. We choose this method because it has been proven as the best way to solve open defecation problem in some country also in some area of Indonesia. CLTS not focusing on how many latrine or facility were built, but about the changing behavior. So we will do education and socialization massively collaborate with the local midwife, nurse, and sanitarian which has responsibility for the community health. We also advocate and collaborate with the chief of the village and local community leaders. Because we believe that behavioral changing cannot be achieved without any support from the environment itself. CLTS prioritize community participation, so that change will run naturally and come from self-desire. Economic empowerment will be done because Pandeglang society is statistically below the poverty line. So, they are difficult to build latrines. We will maximize the local potential (in this case, sticky rice) to be processed as sticky rice crispy, and then Emcekaqu team will do selling and marketing outside the village. Then, half of the profit will be saved to build the latrine.
