Emovia is een initiatief van de Stichting Oost Nederland Elektrisch en beoogt de transitie naar 100% elektrisch rijden te versnellen.
In 2017 is door een aantal ervaren consultants op het gebied van e-mobility de Stichting Oost Nederland Elektrisch opgericht. De Stichting werkt samen met de lokale en provinciale overheid, de Cleantech Regio Stedendriehoek en een aantal business partners, waaronder diverse energiecooperaties in de regio, een innovatief leasebedrijf en een aantal exploitanten van elektrische deelauto’s.
De doelstelling van Oost Nederland Elektrisch is het versnellen van de transitie naar elektrische (auto)mobiliteit in de regio Oost Nederland. Wij richten ons hierbij vooral op het individu en uitsluitend op 100% elektrische personenauto’s, lichte bedrijfsauto’s, motoren en scooters.
Als herkenbaar merk voor het publiek hanteren wij de naam Emovia voor alle initiatieven van de stichting, waaronder het in oprichting zijnde Emovia Electric Experience center voor Oost Nederland: een laagdrempelig, onafhankelijk belevingscentrum voor het algemene publiek.
