Launched in 2019, EmpoderaClima is a Brazil-based, youth-led initiative created to raise awareness of the disproportionate impacts of climate change that girls and women face in the Global South, as well as the need for women's leadership in climate action. Fundada em 2019 e liderada por jovens, a EmpoderaClima é uma iniciativa brasileira criada para conscientizar sobre os impactos desproporcionais das mudanças climáticas que meninas e mulheres enfrentam no Sul Global, assim como sobre a necessidade de lideranças feministas em ações climáticas. Com conteúdos curados e originais traduzidos para inglês, espanhol, português e francês, a base de dados serve como um recurso sobre gênero e clima para aqueles que não costumam ter acesso a materiais sobre justiça climática em suas línguas nativas. A EmpoderaClima também tem um papel de liderança no advocacy global, atuando junto a movimentos parceiros ao redor do mundo em eventos de alto nível e projetos de educação climática para demandar ações climáticas responsivas ao gênero.
