The Canadian Venezuelan Engagement Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization (CVEF), non-for profit created by a group of Venezuelans exiles involved in the defense for Human Rights, the multilevel engagement between the Venezuelan Diaspora and the different stakeholders from the Government of Canada, the promotion of educational programs and training via internships and settlement services for refugees.
Our Foundation relies on three fundamental objectives:
HUMANITARIAN AID: Our mission is to help Venezuela’s population, through the distribution of goods, food, medical and school supplies to be sent to the poorest neighborhoods of the country and communities stricken by the crisis. Also, our Foundation has a team that helps Venezuelan immigrants to provide guidance and orientation support to refugees.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING: On further development upon allocation of resources, the CVEF will create programs, courses, internships and training that will enhance the principles of community and neighborhood leadership to educate Venezuelan nationals in self-sustainability and self-reliance as fundamental core values of solidarity, coexistence among citizens and between communities for enhancing the corporate social responsibility.
HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENSE: Our Foundation works actively to raise awareness throughout University academic forums, discussions, and lectures. In Canada, The CVEF collaborates at multiple levels in setting meetings, agendas at different stakes of the Government of Canada presenting reports and testimonies before Parliamentary committees, commissions and Ministries. On a hemispheric and international spectrum, the CVEF collaborates with delegations and regional organizations such as the United Nations and the Organization of the American States in defense of Human Rights in our pursuit of justice to document and denounce Crimes of against the humanity.
