Struggling to close that contract?
It’s never easy.
That client is the dream client you have ever wanted to work with.
All the efforts to get that initial conversation, to meet and fully understand the needs, to present those solutions you know would work so well for them. Finally, a vision of both teams working together.
Let me tell you a story about one of the latest companies we have worked with.
They excel at selling—they really do. They build sincere connections, believe in what they do, and are so enthusiastic about their service that they get overexcited by the urge to start solutioning. It’s not surprising: the founder personally selected and trained that team.
But an RFP got in the way, delaying the process and creating new objections to solve. Even the coolest clients sometimes have departments asking for alternatives.
No one in the organization coordinated that last step, and no one was really accountable for unifying that information. The sales team was getting frustrated: the workflow needed by the production team was not complete, the mandatory legal checks only legal could provide were taking forever, and the IT infrastructure graph requested was not coming.
The team planned for the project: when at work, they know their craft, they deliver, and they work so well together. Clients are so happy, that they ask for that same experience every time. But they suck at explaining how they do it.
The worst part of the situation was that the contact was getting impatient. They still believed in that vision, the solution presented, but could they trust the implementation? They started to feel that they were not so important. The magic was almost gone.
The good news is that the client realized coordination was needed. Someone to convey the importance of showing a unified solution while understanding how the client wanted the message and the documentation to arrive.
They just needed someone to hold the torch to reach the tunnel's end safely.
