Equestrum is het nieuwe Internationale Hippische Kennis- en Innovatiecentrum en wordt mede mogelijk gemaakt door Lentiz onderwijsgroep, manege Chardon, Stichting Aequor fonds en gemeente Midden-Delfland. Ondernemers, onderwijs, overheid en de sportsector werken hierin intensief samen aan kennisdeling en innovatie voor de hippische sector. De theorielessen vinden vooral plaats op de school in Maasland, de praktijklessen worden gegeven bij Manege Chardon. Tevens wordt er stage gelopen bij excellente, hippische bedrijven in de metropoolregio Rotterdam - Den Haag.
De Lentiz-opleiding MBO Paardensport – een samenwerking tussen Lentiz Onderwijsgroep en Equestrum – heeft als eerste mbo-opleiding in Nederland het NPA-label ontvangen. Dit kwaliteitslabel heeft de Nederlandse Paarden Academie (NPA) in het leven geroepen om te laten zien welke opleidingen voldoen aan de eisen van het werkveld. Opleidingen worden beoordeeld op klanttevredenheid, praktijkgerichtheid en sectortevredenheid. Adri Reijm, directeur Lentiz | Maasland: “Wij zijn natuurlijk ontzettend trots dat onze mbo-opleiding de eerste is die dit kwaliteitslabel mag dragen. Dit geeft ons nog meer motivatie om te blijven werken aan het professionaliseren van de hippische sector.”
