I'm Valentina, an Equine Behavioural Psychologist, and I have a huge love for horses and equine behaviour; the way horses behave and the reason behind their behaviour are my passion!
Most importantly, my wish is to use this knowledge and passion in the managed environment in order to improve equine welfare through owner and practitioner empowerment - an empowered, knowledgeable owner is a responsible owner.
My aim through Equine Behavioural Sciences Institute (EBSI) is therefore to provide owners and practitioners with scientific, evidence-based information and training tools in order to ensure that equine welfare is promoted and protected at all times throughout the training and management process of horses, and that human safety is maintained while still gaining the desired performance outcomes from the horse.
A little bit about me...
I hold a degree in Animal Psychology and diplomas in Equine Science and Equine Psychology. I'm certified in Animal Behaviour specialising in horses and have completed various courses and certifications covering equine management, health, and behaviour. I'm a member of the International Society for Applied Ethology (ISAE), and the European Federation of Animal Science (EAAP), and have previously been a member of the International Society for Equitation Science (ISES).
