Erev Rav is an independent journal of Arts, Culture and Society, edited by Yonatan Amir and Ronen Eidelman;
Established in early 2010 to advance the discourse on art, and to support a multi-cultural, democratic, pluralistic discussion on culture.
Erev Rav online magazine publishes articles, reviews, interviews and essays about art and culture.
In addition to our online journal, we twice a year a printed Issue and organize events such as video screenings, performances and artist talks.
ערב רב הוא גוף העוסק באמנות, תרבות וחברה הפועל מבית הנסן בירושלים. פעילות ערב רב מתמקדת בקשרים בין אמנות, כלכלה, פוליטיקה, תיאולוגיה ושאר נקודות השקה בין אמנות לחברה, ביחסי אמנות וטכנולוגיה, בהיבטים אתיים באמנות והשפעתם על מרחבי היצירה והתקבלותה, ובמצב השדה. פעילות המכון כוללת עריכת כתב עת מקוון, גיליונות מודפסים, פודקאסט, כנס שנתי, מחקר, ארכיון, הוצאה לאור ויזמות תרבותית.
ערב רב מתקיים מתרומות, תמיכות ופרסומים.
ערב רב נוסד בשנת 2010 ע״י רונן אידלמן ויונתן אמיר במטרה לקדם את האמנות והכתיבה עליה, לערוך שיח ביקורתי באמנות עכשווית, תרבות ותיאוריה, ולקיים דיון מקצועי בסוגיות אקטואליות ומחקריות הן בקהילת האמנות והן בין קהילת האמנות לכלל הציבור. בכתב העת מתפרסמות בקביעות מסות, ביקורות, ראיונות, ידיעות, טקסטים קטלוגיים ומאמרים שונים בנושא אמנות ותרבות בארץ ובעולם. עד כה פורסמו באתר למעלה מ-4500 מאמרים, ביקורות וידיעות העוסקות במגמות יצירה חדשות וישנות, ביקורת אמנות ותרבות, ניתוחים של אירועים אקטואליים, נקודות מבט מחקריות שונות ועוד. הדיונים נערכים הן באמצעות תגובות נקודתיות לאירועים אקטואליים והן במאמרים מקיפים שבוחנים את הסוגיות בהקשרים רחבים.
במקביל להפעלת האתר, החל משנת 2021 ערב רב מוציא לאור שני גיליונות מודפסים בשנה, המוקדשים למסות ומאמרים מחקריים מקיפים בקנה מידה שמתאים יותר לקריאה בדפוס.
לצד הפעילות השוטפת, ערב רב יוצר פרסומים מודפסים המוקדשים לפרויקטים ייחודיים, עורך שותף של ״כנס ירושלים לאמנות״, ומקליט את הפודקאסט ״לשם שמיים״, המוקדש לשיחות עומק עם יוצרים ויוצרות מכל תחומי התרבות (בשיתוף בית הנסן בירושלים). עד כה יצאו בהוצאת כתב העת ספר אחד (מוסללה – 5 השנים ה
