Cyber security is often neglected due to difficulty in securing the specific cyber security expertise required and/or limited budget. Ethi-Cy (Ethical Cybersecurity) is a was founded with a mission to make cutting edge cyber security accessible to all projects (ethical projects, non-profits, start-ups and projects on a limited budget). To achieve this our strategy is to: 1. provide targeted short duration remote / hybrid consultancy, helping the client by clearing sticking points and maintain progress 2. enable our clients to take ownership of their project by knowledge transfer and IP transfer 3. make cyber security affordable for SME clients, by being flexible on time (hourly, daily, monthly) and location (remote, onsite, hybrid) 4. provide alternate payment arrangements, such as sweat equity in start-ups or free to charitable organizations We are currently creating a security and communications module for a MedTech startup ScubaTx (as an equity partner) and developing Image processing AI for the local Mountain Rescue Team (MRT). I have a 36 years experience in Fintech, safety critical and life critical systems, working at all levels including CTO of a Fintech Startup. I also have a PhD focused on ethical hacking of emerging payment technologies and a creating tech to support victims of domestic violence. My expertise covers (1) Fintech traditional payments, crypto and fraud detection / prevention (2) deployment of cyber security software to insecure remote platforms e.g. Android (3) deployment of advanced crypto security on mobile, embedded and IoT platforms (4) AI modeling using Tensorflow and CUDA. My aim is to provide my clients with a cost effective consultancy model that suits their needs, providing a blend of remote, hybrid and full onsite contract work as best suits the client.
