ইনজিনিয়ারিং ইউনিভারসিটি স্কুল এন্ড কলেজ বাংলাদেশ প্রকৌশল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের পৃষ্ঠপোষকতায় কচি-কাঁচা শিশু-কিশোরদের জন্য একটি সুশৃঙ্খল ও উচ্চমান সম্পন্ন শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান গড়ে তোলার লক্ষ্যে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কতিপয় বিদগ্ধ শিক্ষানুরাগীর প্রচেষ্টায় 1982 সালে বুয়েট ক্যাম্পাসে ইনজিনিয়ারিং ইউনিভারসিটি স্কুল এন্ড কলেজ নামে একটি মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয়ের জন্ম হয় । এরপর বিদ্যালয়ের ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের ঈর্ষণীয় ফলাফলের সিঁড়ি বেয়ে প্রতিষ্ঠানটি বাংলাদেশের অন্যতম বিদ্যালয় হিসেবে স্বীকৃতি লাভ করে । এরপর শিক্ষাদানের গুণগত মান, উন্নত ফলাফলের সুনাম, স্বীকৃতি এবং সময়ের প্রয়োজনের উপর ভিত্তি করে 1998 সালে প্রতিষ্ঠানটিকে উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক পর্যায়ে উন্নীত করা হয়। বর্তমানে প্রতিষ্ঠানটির নামকরণ করা হয়েছে ইনজিনিয়ারিং ইউনিভারসিটি স্কুল এন্ড কলেজ ।
প্রতিষ্ঠানের কলেবর বৃদ্ধি এবং ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের ফলাফলের গৌরবময় অগ্রগতির ধারায় প্রতি বছর নতুন নতুন মাত্রা যোগ হচ্ছে। প্রাথমিক, মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক শাখার অসাধারণ ফলাফল প্রতিষ্ঠানকে ঢাকা মহানগরীর মধ্যে একটি অনন্যসাধারণ বিদ্যাপীঠে পরিণত করেছে । বর্তমানে প্রতিষ্ঠানে প্রাথমিক শিক্ষা সমাপনী, জেএসসি ও এসএসসি এবং এইচএসসি পরীক্ষায় শতভাগ সাফল্যের ধারা অব্যাহত রয়েছে । সুশিক্ষা ও সুশৃঙ্খল জীবন গঠনের ভিত্তি নির্মাণে সুন্দর পরিবেশের ভূমিকা অনস্বীকার্য । বাংলাদেশ প্রকৌশল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অভ্যন্তরে শান্ত ও স্নিগ্ধ সবুজ ঘেরা নয়নাভিরাম পরিবেশে এ প্রতিষ্ঠানের অবস্থান । দুটি সুবিশাল এবং সুপরিসর সুরম্য ভবনে প্রতিষ্ঠানের একাডেমিক ও প্রশাসনিক কার্যক্রম পরিচালিত হচ্ছে। ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের প্রতিদিনের প্রাতঃসমাবেশ অনুষ্ঠানের জন্য এখানে একটি সবুজ বেষ্টনী রয়েছে । মধ্যবিরতির সময় সবুজ বেষ্টনীতে কচি-কাঁচা শিশু-কিশোরদের কলকাকলি প্রতিষ্ঠানের চির সবুজ প্রাণ-চাঞ্চল্যকে অবারিত করে তোলে ।
