The Foundation for Exceptional Warriors(The FEW) is a 501c3 that provides outdoor adventures to unite and inspire Exceptional Warriors and/or their family members. The FEW describes Exceptional Warriors as, every era of Special Operations, former Prisoners of War, the Combat Wounded and those recognized for combat Valor or non-combat Heroism. The FEW was founded in 2012 and is led by the same Warriors that it serves. The FEW’s heart is its volunteers. The Founder is a former Green Beret that was medically retired in 2007 and knows first hand the hardships faced by Exceptional Warriors. His wife, since before he joined in 1994, knows the struggles of the family left home to worry. They have recruited other simually suited volunteers, most Exceptional Warriors or family members themselves, to run this organization. Because of the enduring efforts of these volunteers The FEW returns over 96% to the mission of serving others consistently.
The FEW has provided events around the world for Veterans and their families. Some events include parachuting into Normandy, France honoring the 75th Anniversary of D-Day, elk hunting in Canada, Stag hunting in New Zealand, marlin fishing in Mexico, coffee making in Columbia, striper fishing around the Statue of Liberty, power boating the Keys, helicopter hunting in Texas, SCUBA diving Honduras, spearfishing the Gulf, safaris in Africa, cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean. The FEW provides Warrior only events, father and child events, wives retreats, family vacations, and everything in between to better reach Warriors where they are in life.
A volunteer of The FEW’s hosts every event to guide and mentor so that the attendees get the most impact from the event. These hosts stay in touch with the attendees and often become lifelong friends. Each person that attends the event leaves refreshed, knowing they are appreciated, with new great memories and information and, probably most important, new friends to turn to when needed.
