Στις 13 Νοεμβρίου του 1987 ο Τάσος Μιχαηλίδης τυπώνει το πρώτο δωρεάν διανεμόμενο έντυπο της Ελλάδας στην πόλη της Θεσσαλονίκης.
Η «εβδομαδιαία επιθεώρηση κινηματογράφου – λοιπών θεαμάτων & ποιότητας ζωής της Θεσσαλονίκης» με το όνομα «Eξώστης» φέρνει για άλλη μια φορά την πόλη μας στο προσκήνιο της πρωτοπορίας!
Με σημαντικά πρόσωπα της πόλης να στελεχώνουν την ομάδα του περιοδικού, με κείμενα καυστικά και με πλήρη ψυχαγωγική ενημέρωση προς τέρψιν ψυχής και πνεύματος ο «Εξώστης» γίνεται η εβδομαδιαία αναζήτηση κάθε ψιλιασμένου «Σαλονικιού».Όμως οι εξελίξεις στην χώρα μας αναγκάζουν το μεγάλο αυτό εγχείρημα να κάνει μια παύση και να αποσυρθεί για λίγο.
Και έτσι απλά, αποφασίζουμε να πάρουμε στα χέρια μας την κατάσταση και να ξανατυπώσουμε τον «Εξώστη» με τεράστιο σεβασμό προς το παρελθόν και μεγάλη λαχτάρα για το μέλλον.
