We’re a not-for-profit company bringing a new approach to publishing. We were founded with a sense of outrage at the ever-growing monopoly exerted by the big publishers, and a desire to subvert the current state of the industry.
Here’s what that looks like:
We’re seeking authors with something unique to contribute – a book only they could have written. Whether you have thousands of followers on social media, or have never heard those two words joined before, we’re committed. No platform? No problem.
We’re not driven by market trends; we look for books that are one of a kind. All our books receive equal, substantial attention and marketing budgets. Rather than paying advances, we share profits with our authors 50/50. As for us? We only need enough to keep publishing without compromise.
We’re guided by curatorial openness: our experienced team will commission books in-house, but our broad network of professional and volunteer readers will also weigh in.
Whether speculative fiction, art, memoir or anything in between, our books have this in common: a distinctive pairing of author and subject.
If that means publishing niche books, so be it. If it means going beyond the constraints of genre, we’re up for that. If it means taking risks, bring it on.
We're for readers. Not for profit.
